Leaves, Acrylic on Canvas

I did this painting recently and made it entirely from my imagination. It went through a bit of trouble, but I liked the way it turned out in the end.
I used real acrylic paints (the ones in tubes) for this, and I loved them! They have such a smooth and lovely finish, so good for blending, and quick drying! They're easy to clean up (unlike oils) and fun to paint with. I may sound a bit over-excited, but I really, really enjoyed painting with acrylics, and I plan to use them in future.
(It may be useful to mention here that I used blue and yellow paint to make green, and to show the darker and lighter areas, I just increased the amount of blue or yellow.)

Quotes

I recently searched up some inspirational quotes and then illustrated them (actually, just wrote them in some fancy fonts according to the message of each quote).  They aren't too good, but I'm still posting them on this blog (partly because I haven't posted anything here for a while). Anyways here they are:

'Believe you can and you're halfway there'.
By Theodore Roosevelt (whoever that is!)
I liked the message of this quote, which kind of
implies that if only you believe in yourself,
you can do whatever you want to.

'Perfection is not attainable but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence'.
 By Vince Lombardi.
I know I've misspelled the second perfection - so much for chasing perfection!
(And due to the bright flash, 'attainable' isn't very clear at all.
It's a lot better if you see it in real life.)

'If you want to be happy, be!' By Leo Tolstoy.
I like this quote because it implies that your happiness
depends on your own self, not anybody else.
You can't blame anyone else for making you sad or depressed.
After all, you're in charge of your mood.

Portrait: Pencil sketch

I copied this sketch from a book, and really liked how it turned out. I thoroughly enjoyed working on it, especially on her eyes and lips. :D The nose is quite imperfect, though. :(
It took around two days to complete most of it.

Slab pot made of clay

I made this slab pot out of clay a few days ago, and painted it today, using acrylic paints. I really love this combination of orange and green-they always work well together!

Purple and yellow coil pot

I recently made this coil pot out of clay and painted it with acrylic paints once dry, with contrasting yellow and purple colours. Contrasting colours look amazing together, but I think the purple should've been lighter...

Ice-cream made of air-dry clay

My favourite food... ice-cream! I made it out of air-drying clay. It took several thick coats of poster paints to get the colours bright enough. Looks tempting, doesn't it?

Clay pot I made for a child

I recently made this pinch pot out of clay, and painted it for my three-year old cousin. :) He loved it!
I painted the inside blue, the outside light green, with red polka dots on it, and the rim red too.
